London watchmakers Mr. Jones have just created “The Last Laugh” watch. Designed with the help of comedian William Andrews, the watch displays the time not through the indication of a set of hands, but via the skull’s teeth. Based on the commonly held belief that comedians are all secretly depressed, a concept often depicted by the “tears of a clown”, the watch is also a humorous play on the fleeting nature of life. The timepiece features a stainless steel case and a leather strap that is contrasted by white stitching and is limited to just 100 pieces. Each watch is numbered on the case-back and comes with an insert card that is signed by both William Andrews and Crispin Jones. The watch is now available from colette.
